Cook for a work plan

Food is stored work time. Choose a recipe based on the task it enables rather than its headline recovery alone. A cheap repeatable meal may support daily crafting better than a powerful dish that consumes a gated ingredient.

Secure the ingredient loop

Prefer recipes with ingredients you can farm, buy or process reliably. Map each ingredient to its source and keep seed or production inputs separate from edible stock. Consuming the next planting batch can damage several future days.

Batch around fixed output

Stations often work in batches. Plan how many work sessions the output covers, then cook enough for that interval. Oversized batches lock ingredients into food that may become obsolete after a new recipe unlocks.

Carry a mixed kit

Take a small recovery item for finishing nearby work and a stronger option for long routes or combat. This reduces waste and prevents returning home because the only food carried was too valuable to use on a minor deficit.
