Treat access as a gate
Forest access is a dependency chain involving a pass, conversations and the checkpoint rather than a location you can brute-force early. Track the named requirement in the journal and avoid carrying speculative materials to the outpost.
Prepare before crossing
Finish nearby hand-ins, carry recovery and clear inventory space before opening the route. The first visit is more useful when it can include exploration, resource collection and the next quest contact in one trip.
Mark return blockers
When the route reveals a mine, camp or blocked structure, record the exact requirement and leave. Do not grind unrelated resources on the assumption that they will open it.
Connect the region
Once access is stable, link the forest to production and quest routines. Decide which resources justify a dedicated trip and which should later be automated or collected while passing through.
