Read the target formula
Start from the product's red, green and blue requirement, then choose studied ingredients whose values meet it. The visible ingredient example is one solution, not necessarily the only one. Keep formula totals separate from ingredient names so substitutions remain possible.
Study before consuming
Reveal ingredient properties before committing scarce materials. Build a small pool of known low-cost ingredients across all three rune colors, then reserve rare ingredients for formulas that cannot be satisfied cheaply.
Test one variable
When a formula fails, change one ingredient at a time and record the rune total. Changing the whole combination produces no useful evidence. Community formula lists should remain provisional until reproduced in the current game version.
Build a practical shelf
Organize output by purpose: healing, combat, growth, corpse work and progression. Keep the most frequently used formula supplied, but avoid large batches of situational potions until their next use is known.
