Track the principal request
Keep Gunter's requested outcome separate from the favors needed to obtain Jack's signature. The journal may show the current conversation, but the real route spans both characters.
Finish prerequisites before returning
When a character refuses to advance, check reputation, previous dialogue and required items before repeating the trip. A blocked conversation usually indicates an unmet dependency.
Protect the contract item
Treat signed documents as quest-only items. Keep them out of general storage and do not confuse them with ordinary writing products.
Close both character loops
After the hand-in, revisit both sides of the arrangement if the journal remains active. Multi-character quests may leave a final acknowledgement or unlock on the intermediary.
